If you register your bicycle you are much more likely to recover it if it is stolen. It is usually a quick and simple process and the costs are minimal.
It is a good idea to take your bike when registering it. The registration form asks several detailed questions about the bike. Those questions generally include, but are not limited to, serial number, make and model, and tire size.
