The airport is located in the southwest corner of the city. From SR99, exit on V Street southbound. At the end of V Street, turn left on West Ave. Turn right on Grogan Ave. MacReady Drive and the airport will be on your left.

Travelers also may reach Merced County by connecting with ground transportation at airports such as Los Angeles, Fresno, or San Francisco International. Chartered planes also welcomed.

Merced Regional Airport is a basic transport airport providing commercial air service and freight air cargo service. The Merced Airport is the only regionally significant airport in the county according to criteria used by the Civil Aeronautics Board. Runway length at the Merced Airport is 5,904 feet, capable of handling turbo jet aircraft. Available hangar space is 56,857 square feet. Merced Regional Airport provides the only air carrier service in the county.
